Banner: Dan's Super Dojo

David Bowie once wondered about "Sound and Vision" in the song of the same name, and it has come to my attention that while providing "Vision" is a little lacking in "sounds"...

Yo yo Dan my man, these sounds are rocking my world!

Given that you consider maracas a "trendy" musical instrument, I'm not sure you qualified to speak on my sounds page!

*Sweatdrop* Hey, there's nothing wrong with maracas!

Well, I'll leave that for my students to decide. But for now, thrill to the sound of your master in full effect

This is, unsurprisingly, the sounds page of the Super Dojo! Here you can find just about every speech sample from the SF Alpha 3 game, in addition to a number of samples from other games that Dan has appeared in. And if this isn't enough to quench your thirst for Dan sounds, then I don't know what is. This page also includes the old translations page to increase your Saikyo catchphrase knowledge. Enjoy!

I'd just like to take this opportunity to offer my thanks to Mai for providing a number of translations and corrections for this page. Thanks Mai!

Huge thanks to Mercury Crusader for not only providing a ton of SvC: Chaos sounds but also for contributing all of the Dan's Alpha BGMs. What a legend!

Thanks to Drule for putting together a cool sound board of Dan action!

Dan MP3s

Dan's Street Fighter Alpha Theme:Dan's original background music, for your edification and delight.
Dan's Street Fighter Alpha 2 Theme:Sounds very similar to the original theme although possibly with a bit more light instrumental jazz funk!
Dan's Street Fighter Alpha 3 Theme:Dan's Alpha 3 theme will no doubt bring back memories of the park background and crushing victories over the likes of E. Honda and T. Hawk!
Dan Old Skool Mix:An old skool rave remix of Dan's Street Fighter Alpha 2 theme - it doesn't come much cooler than this. Feel the funk of the old skool 90s vocals and piano section!
Dan's Original Super Puzzle Fighter Theme:This is probably my favourite officially Dan theme... groovier than a 10 string guitar, baby!

Dan Sounds

Dan Sound Board:(Courtesy of Saikyo student Drule, this is a funky awesome sound board made using samples from the Super Dojo. Check it out!)
DAN WARS !! :(This is a bit of an oddity! Basically it's the sounds of the final space battle from Star Wars, but with DAN as the hero instead of Luke! It's quite a big file (582k) but well worth it! Huge thanks to Will for contributing this. Thanks Will!)
Dan's attack sound # 1
Dan's attack sound # 2
Dan's attack sound # 3: (put all three of these together and you get Dankuu Kyaku !)
Dan's Premium Sign autograph attack from Marvel vs. Capcom 2:(Translates as "I'm your hero!" - thanks to an un-named poster on the Dojo forums for this! ^_^)
Dan's hard attack version of the Premium Sign

Yatta, gome ne, saikyo su! ("Alright! Sorry! I am the strongest!" from Super Puzzle Fighter): (Huge thanks to both Mai and Eugene Calara for e-mailing me the original translation for this, and equally big props to Mai for an expanded translation and what it means in English ^-^ )
GADOUKEN! Nuff said.
Gomene! Dan uses Chun Li's taunt to good effect.
KORYUKEN! Natch.
Dan's Alpha 1 Koryuken!:(Thanks to Mercury Crusader to providing this. Keen Saikyo stylists will notice this earliest version of the Koryuken sounds nothing like it's later incarnation, sounding more like it sprang from Ken's lips rather than those of the legendary Dan...)
Eat fist with this KORYUREKKA!
Tadaima Sanjyou! ("I'm here!" from Marvel vs. Streetfighter): (Many thanks to Mai for providing me with the translation for this, she has truly earned herself her Saikyo-ryu black belt ^-^ )

Otoko Michi - Oyaaaajjjjiiiiiiiiiiiii!
Chouhatsu Densetsu, SNK style!

Ah, my students! While anyone can perform a martial arts technique, no-one brings quite as much style to it as myself. And part of the reason for that is these nifty catchphrases.
