Across the site you may see me refer to Chains of Memory, with little in the way of explanation. Chains of Memory is the title of the first in a series of urban fantasy novels that I’m writing, to be followed by Chains of Time, Chains of Glass, and Chains of War at a later date.

All three are working titles. I’m hoping a publisher will agree with them, as the chains motif is relatively important to one of the thematic elements of the plot, but that’s up to them.

What’s Chains of Memory about? Here’s a brief synopsis:

It is 3013, Earth is in the grips of an unnatural ice age, and only a young man with no memories can prevent malicious forces causing the great London Dome from crashing to the ground.

With the help of the most unexpected of allies – a warlock, a priest who has lost her faith, and an Outsider from the depths of the Elemental Chaos – Warden Thornleigh must battle not just for his own life, but the lives of the 2 million inhabitants of London as he tries to rescue the only person who might be able to tell him who – or what - he is…
