[ART] “Sisters” – W.I.P. (#3)

Pretty much done with this experiment now. Looking back there are quite a few things I would do differently — but there always are: especially when I’m creating a painting with multiple subjects in.

Still, it hasn’t turned out badly for a couple of days trial & error. The image may take a while to load, as its a few hundred KB. Click through for larger.

Decided to add a splash of colour using a Multiply layer.

[ART] Gaze 2

A while back I worked on a picture I called “Gaze”. I never really finished it properly. The other day I saw a picture of Morrigan and Hawke from the two Dragon Age games by Yamao on DeviantArt, and I knew I had to ...

[GW2] The Tiniest Details

I spent a couple of minutes yesterday watching THIS VIDEO about sound effects in GW2 and how some guy had noticed that when guns in the game fire, ANet have actually got lots of randomised soundbites for shell-casings hitting t...

[ART/GAMING] Aesthetics vs. Graphical Fidelity in MMOs and Beyond

It always amuses me when people talk about how awesome a game looks due to its graphics. Because that isn’t what they mean. A game can have the highest fidelity graphics in existence and not look good. Take Final Fantasy XIV ...
